Wolseley 1500 Vintage CarSuperb interior furnishings in typical Wolseley tradition make this delightful 1961 car a pleasure just to sit in, never mind the thrill of the drive. See it for yourself here in glorious detail. The Wolseley 1500 was in production from 1957 to 1965 and replaced the 15/50 and was also available as the Riley One-Point-Five. It was the result of an ill-fated attempt to replace the Morris Minor but a charming car nevertheless. Ireland had a 1200cc version, while in Australia there were a couple of other derivatives: the Austin Lancer and Morris Major. Production ended in 1965, when the Wolseley 1100 came on-stream. Many were finished in cheerful two-tone paint schemes which, along with well trimmed interiors, helped give these compact saloon cars an upmarket feel. |
