Connemara (Conamara in Irish) is a district in the west of Ireland comprising of a broad peninsula between Killary Harbour and Cuan Chill Chiaráin/Kilkieran Bay in the west of County Galway or south west Connacht.
Numerous islands are found off the coast of Connemara and inland there are several lakes.
